i won't get too in depth cause well 1. im a bum and 2. there's a lot more better .. longer .. whatever - writings out there..that's why this is BASICS ..cause well, it's just basic stuff. | i got into it a bit on the front page, but obviously koRn is recognized as the first nu metal band .. people like to say bands like faith no more, M.F. pitbulls, ect. were nu metal before koRn..but they're just thrash, groove or funk. so not nu metal. koRn came out with neidermayers mind { a demo } in 1993, then released the actual 'first nu metal album' { being their self titled } in 1994. some early nu metal { from 1995 } is : deftones' adrenaline, stink!#bug's dynamic domination, nothingface's self titled and grum's unworship. there's also p.o.d's snuff the punk, downset's self titled, helmet's betty, ect. all from 1994..a little less nu, though. ‎ ‎ ‎ below ~ stink!#bug live
but um that's all besides the point. it was influenced by stuff like alt-metal, groove, thrash, hard rock..whatever. mixes in a whole ton of genres like a big ugly salad. later on around 1996 i'd say it started getting more hip-hop-y and industrial ~ but i can't really say just a few things cause it's a real diverse genre. unless it's some underground copy of another band { typically being koRn ... } there's no bands that really sound the same. you don't really need to learn all this surface level stuff to know nu metal, i'd say...
TLDR ; koRn is recognized as the first nu metal band, their self titled being the first nu metal album, and after 1993-4, bands like limp bizkit, deftones, nothingface, ect. started getting big and woohoo nu metal got all big and popular with more bands like slipknot, kittie, linkin park, staind, system of a down, drowning pool, 40 below summer, ect. coming in the late 90s and with big genres comes a ton of underground bands and thats always fun.

hahaha time for me to talk about myself again. hawhaw im just kidding but not really cause thats sorta what i'm about to do. well um. i decided to make this site cuzzzz! erm well i like nu metal a lot. it's my favorite thing. ive been obsessed with it for like 2 and a half years yeah thats a lot for me. i actually made another nu metal site like a year and a half ago..it's in the webmaster section... um it's something. so after like forever of leaving that abandoned i made this! cause it's summer and i've been bored. summers the best time to have projects like this..

and despite the 'fans' section.. it is more of a personal site. { the profile part is more of an archive from old profiles but you're free to make one.. i can't promise that it'll show up after just a bit though.. might take a while cause well like i said that old site was abandoned. so maybe message me if you wanna make one.. } and i'd love if i had people with me on it sure but there's a few things.. 1. the only people who like making sites..well at least that i know, i only know online. and i barely talk to any online friends cause well it's normal to talk to real life friends obviously. that doesn't mean online friends aren't friends! just um.. less so... ok not less so just.. less attention...on them.. yup! don't get offended cause i bet you think the same way. and i still love you hawhawhaw. so basically online i'm a loner and in real life i'm not friends with enough nerds who like making sites like me. and there's not too many people out here making nu metal band fansites anymore which is sad.. so if you're like me, i'd love to be friends! um.. ignore the part up there i don't hate any online people i just don't talk to them as much as my real life friends, SUE ME! let's be buds!
