without ross , nu metal would be either very different ..or just not a thing :-) cause he helped produce some of the most important stuff. and some lame people would like that better, but i definitely wouldn't. he discovered bands like koRn { helping make/shape nu metal }, limp bizkit, and slipknot .. he also produced for a ton more { some important , some less so } nu metal bands like human waste project, snot, phunk junkeez, soulfly, deftones, sepultura { roots was a nu metal album ... }, cold, ect.

he produced { aforementioned important stuff being ~ } the 'first nu metal album' { koRn's self titled } and also their demo, neidermayer's mind. he was also a guitarist for thrash bands, murdercar and detente.

speaking of koRn , nu metal would still be way different without jd { and all the other guys in koRn. } and i wouldn't want it any other way, cause nu metals already perfect ... in my eyes :-) we'd be stuck with stuff like sludge and thrash. good, but i want a bit more. ~ i don't need to say alot about him or the band, cause well, koRns like in the top 50s for most popular bands in the world now.

before jd was in koRn, he was in the band sexart which went on to become juice { another nu metal band, which is surprisingly unpopular for a band who used to have a koRn member, orgy member AND videodrone member { well he was only on 1 track } ... but i guess it was 'used to'. dave, their bass player, also went to adema with jd's half brother, mark chavez.} and the rest of the members had their bands too. fieldy { bass }, munky { guitar } and david { drums } were in the funk metal band L.A.P.D, while head { guitar } was a roadie/second guitarist for their shows. there's also pierct, russian roulette, and buck naked, but i'm not gonna get into all of that...mainly since L.A.P.D's the only former band that people really care about.
